I decided to run for the Culver City Council when I observed that a majority of the announced candidates were not interested in championing for the important changes that need to be accomplished --- in order to make Culver City an even better place to reside and raise our children in a friendly and safe environment.

As many know, I have taken a longtime proactive role in fighting for the needs of all of our Culver City citizens who are dissatisfied with our abhorrent traffic conditions, increased gang and graffiti activity, misdirected eminent domain and redevelopment efforts, antiquated economic development practices and one of the highest Utility User Tax Rates in the entire State of California which the City hopes to modernize.

Within the next few weeks, I will be addressing each of these aforementioned issues in hopes of helping Culver City voters appreciate that I am the only candidate who really understands the major issues affecting each and every one of us and I am also not apart of the status quo.

I am probably best known throughout Culver City as the lone activist who persistently brings to the attention of elected City Council members and Culver City administrators & staff members, on a on going basis, the obvious problems that are facing Culver City. Recently I have been showing the City the blatant lack of enforcement of helmet & pads rules being practiced at our brand-new Culver City skate park. Non-enforcement may result in one of our cherished children being critically injured. The City wants to keep with the status quo. The status quo since the original skate park opened in 1999 has been to ignore the problem by refusing to supervise and enforce the City rules and regulations. What does this teach the youth about obeying rules & laws?

I am also recognized for steadfastly bringing to the attention of elected City Council members and the City the unsafe practice and past refusal to intervene when a City Traffic Signal Light stops working completely (no flashing red). Ignoring a potential fatal situation was the status quo. It took me over one year (2003-2004) to convince the City that their policy was severely flawed and could result in injury or death. My website in 2004, http://www.CulverCity.TV, resulted in the changing of their status quo.

The supporters who honored me by signing my Nomination Papers included 2 Former Mayors of Culver City, Current and Retired City Employees, Current and Retired Law Enforcement Officers, Home Business Owners and Conventional Business Owners, Retirees and Families. I hope Culver City residents who support me will volunteer to help me in this campaign effort to improve our beloved Culver City and not keep with the status quo.
